"My mom has been a victim of the e-mail scam. She did click on the e-mail, but called me immediately since I prepare her taxes each year. Using common sense, I told her it was a scam because never have I included her e-mail on a tax return and to simply delete the e-mail. It seamed logical to me, but I am trained in taxes and she is not. It is sad at how many people get scammed each year. I was glad she called me and wish I had told her to report it to the phising@irs.gov website Abby told us about."Rosalee, MD
"This presentation on SCAMS related to IRS and Cyber crime was exceptional. Numerous types of scams were highlighted in easy to understand detail with instructions for "fixing" problems and more importantly, how to avoid falling victim to scams. Using what to watch out for scenarios this presentation is very helpful and informative."Bhanumathi, CA
"Very timely, informative webinar!!! But it is really scary to know all the scams, targeted towards the tax professional community. The webinar gave good information on how we can try to protect ourselves from being a victim. I appreciate that."Kimberly, MD
"This was a very informative webinar. I have personally received the call from someone demanding that I had a balance due and needed to pay asap. I knew it was a scam so I ignored it but then told my friends about it especially my elders."Somi, VA
"Excellent session. Learned numerous scam stories & How the IRS' real procedures differ. Renewed my effort to be vigilant about keeping identity theft issues very seriously as a tax professional and as an individual."Reine, TX
"Really enjoyed and learned from this presentation. I have a few taxpayers whose identity was stolen and we provided them with that same information. Much to learn about scammers and their ever new tactics."CYNTHIA, RI
